Reading striker Kevin Doyle has been named the Championshp's Powerade Player of the Month for September.
Doyle was in prolific from throughout September, netting five goals in as many league games, beginning his scoring run with a second hat-trick of the season against Sheffield Wednesday and also bagging a brace against Swansea.
Also short-listed were Joey Gudjonsson of Burnley, Martin Albrechtsen of Derby and Wolves' Michael Kightly.
Chris Kamara, chairman of the Powerade Player of the Month Awards panel, said: "Kevin Doyle is a wonderful talent who first burst onto the scene a couple of years ago.
"He had a quiet year by his standards last season but his appetite for the game seems to have returned and he's enjoying a wonderful start to the current campaign.
"His goals haul in September speaks for itself and has helped keep the Royals firmly in touch at the top of the Championship."
