Noel in the Hunt to face Lilywhites

Reading striker Noel Hunt hopes to be fit to face Preston a week on Saturday after revealing the extent of his concussion last weekend.

Hunt opened the scoring against Burnley on Saturday but was knocked out in the process and cannot remember anything from before the game kicked off.

He said: "I saw the game for the first time on DVD on Monday and it was such a strange feeling seeing myself playing in a game and scoring without having any recollection of it whatsoever.

"I do remember waking up on Sunday morning at Shane Long's house. I didn't know that Stephen had gone away to Ireland or even why I was in Reading.

"Shane says I went out with him and his family on Saturday night but I don't remember it. It's all very hazy.

"I hope I'll be able to play against Preston next Saturday but I'm not too sure. I have to be careful."
