Royals buy-out Doyle sell-on clause

Reading have purchased Kevin Doyle's sell-on clause from League of Ireland side Cork City for an undisclosed sum, the Royals have confirmed.

The Republic of Ireland international, who joined the Royals from Cork in 2005, has already notched 14 goals in 17 league games this season and has become a target for several Premier League sides.

Reading director of football Nick Hammond told Cork's official website: "Reading welcome its excellent relationship with Cork City and sees this relationship continuing to prosper successfully for both clubs."
