Royals to pay tribute to youngster

Reading have confirmed that they will hold a minute's applause ahead of Saturday's Southampton clash to celebrate the life of Stewart McEwan.

The 13-year-old was a promising goalkeeper on the Royals' books before he was killed in a canoeing accident last week.

Steve Coppell's players will also wear black armbands as a mark of respect to the teenager after consulting his family and the Football League.
