Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell hopes to resolve the futures of loan duo David Cotterill and John Halls this week.
Wales international winger Cotterill has played a key role for the Blades since arriving under previous manager Bryan Robson from Wigan in February. Halls arrived in March and remains Blackwell's sole signing.
Blackwell said: "I didn't have the opportunity to discuss things with them before the weekend because the final game was our priority, both in terms of immediate priority and also because our future next season was still undecided.
"But I'll be speaking to David and John this week and we'll see what happens then."
Wigan paid £2million to Bristol City for Cotterill in August 2006, while Halls has also had loan spells at Preston and Crystal Palace this season.
