Steve Bruce admits the FA Cup is a "priority" for Sunderland this season following their pairing with either Oxford or Barrow in round three.
The two Blue Square Premier clubs replay next week after a 1-1 draw at the Kassam Stadium.
Bruce, whose side are eighth in the Premier League table, told the club's official website: "It's an opportunity for us, that's for sure.
"The FA Cup is a priority for us this season and we want to go as far as possible.
"But whichever of the two sides we face, we won't be thinking it will be a walk-over - this competition always produces shocks and we must take every precaution to make sure we don't end up getting a nasty surprise.
"There's no pressure on a non-League side coming up here; they will come up for a good day out and to give it a go against us."
