Former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse has confirmed that he is still interested in a summer switch back to the Premier League.
The French international, who is currently with Ligue 1 side Marseille, spent two seasons with Liverpool between 2004 and 2006.
He is keen to return to England after coming under an increasing amount of criticism from the supporters at Sade Velodrome, with West Ham and Manchester City reportedly showing an interest.
He insists that qualification for next season's Champions League would not be a deciding factor in any decision regarding his future, but is keen to have the situation resolved before his involvement in Euro 2008 this summer.
"I would like my future to be settled before the start of the Euros if I am lucky enough to play in it," Cisse told L'Equipe.
"I will make a decision soon and I don't want to hear anything about money or transfers during the competition.
"I have missed so many opportunities to play in a big international competition that I don't want to be disturbed if I am selected to be in Switzerland.
"My decision regarding my future will have no link with Marseille gaining Champions League qualification.
"Anyway, we have one game renaming and we have to do out best to get the Champions League spot.
"I will repeat it once again, that people here have really hurt me. Will I be able to forget it all? I don't know.
"England is a country which attracts me. It is true that the fans are very different. When I go back to Liverpool it is like I am still playing there.
"Of course I would love the chance to play in the Premier League again. But I still have three years remaining on my contract in France."
Marseille boss Eric Gerets appears resigned to losing his star striker and admits that the club would be unable to turn down an offer from England should their valuation of the player be matched.
"If there is an appealing bid from England for Djibril, then he is likely to leave," he confirmed.
