Wigan defender Paul Scharner insists Latics must "try everything" as they attempt to wreck Manchester United's title dream.
The teams face off at the JJB Stadium on Sunday with United knowing a win would clinch a second successive Premier League crown.
It has been suggested that now they are safe from relegation, Wigan may simply roll over and hand Sir Alex Ferguson's team the glory.
But Scharner, who was crowned the club's player of the year, told Sky Sports News: "I think the whole team can keep their focus on the game on the last day and it is much more fun to have a party after a win.
"We should try everything to get a result.
"We have started to get results against the big four teams - drawn with Liverpool away, Chelsea away and home to Arsenal - and it would be a very nice situation if we could get a win in the last game."
