Wigan boss Steve Bruce insisted he held no grudges despite a controversial second goal helping Tottenham beat his side on Friday night.
Spurs recorded a 3-1 victory over Latics in the FA Cup third-round tie at White Hart Lane.
Roman Pavlyuchenko scored twice, either side of a Luka Modric diving header, which came while Maynor Figueroa was down injured - but Bruce had no complaints.
"It was unfortunate, but I'm not blaming the Spurs players," Bruce said. "It's the rule that gets farcical sometimes.
"The big things went their way and it was always difficult with six or seven players out."
Bruce went on to admit he is desperate to keep his players at the club during the window, and added: "I've had no contact with other clubs and I hope that continues."
