Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson has hit out at wantaway striker Aaron McLean, who has handed in a transfer request.
The 25-year-old, who scored 33 goals as Posh were promoted from League Two last season, handed in a request two days after saying he was happy to stay at London Road. He had previously been linked with a move to Wolves.
Ferguson told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph: "I'm obviously disappointed and I believe Aaron has made the wrong decision. He's obviously gone away, spoken to his advisors and decided to hand in a transfer request which is his right.
"We made Aaron a great offer, but he's decided he wants to leave instead.
"But until we receive an offer which matches our valuation he remains our player and he remains in my plans.
"We need to move on from all the speculation now and concentrate on getting ready for the new season - I will not be seeking another striker at this time."
