Wolves goalkeeper Matt Murray will make his return from injury by playing 45 minutes of Tuesday's Birmingham Senior Cup tie at Nuneaton Town.
The shot stopper is finally looking to make his comeback after 14 months on the sidelines with a cruciate knee ligament injury.
The injury came shortly after he recovered from the broken shoulder that ruled him out of the 2006/07 play-off semi-final against local rivals West Brom.
"It's maybe a little bit ahead of schedule but all the medical staff are happy with it," Murray told the club's official website. "I trained with the first-team last Friday and it went well.
"The knee feels great. I've been training with no reaction and no ill effects, and while I'm not match sharp yet, the only way to do that is by playing games."
If he manages to get through his comeback match then Murray is likely to declare himself fit for a place on the bench in Saturday's clash with Bristol City as Wayne Hennessy is suspended.
