Hartlepool striker James Brown, 21, has pledged his future to the club after bagging 12 goals during his first season at Victoria Park.
But the homegrown youngster insists he has no intention of leaving Pools after they helped him recover from a serious knee injury.
"I am not eager to jump the gun and do something stupid," Brown told the Hartlepool Mail.
"At the end of the day I am regular at Hartlepool, as long as I play well, so hopefully I can carry on developing."
Ritchie Humphreys, meanwhile, has been named the club's Player of the Century.
