Skarz signs new Terriers deal

Huddersfield's teenage defender Joe Skarz has signed a new three-year contract, the third player new manager Stan Ternent has offered a deal.

Huddersfield's teenage defender Joe Skarz has signed a new three-year contract.

The 18-year-old joins veteran striker Andy Booth and goalkeeper Matt Glennon who have all been offered new deals by in-coming manager Ternent.

Huddersfield-born Skarz's new contract will keep him at the Galpharm Stadium until 2011.

He made his first-team debut against Scunthorpe under former manager Peter Jackson in November 2006 and has gone on to make 50 appearances for the Terriers.
