Cheltenham boss Keith Downing admits Alan Wright's new contract has effectively ended Lee Ridley's Whaddon Road career.
Veteran defender Wright, 36, has signed a new one-year deal with the Robins and Ridley has been placed on the transfer list as a result.
Downing said: "Alan's new contract means that opportunities for Lee Ridley will be limited, so he has officially gone on the transfer list.
"Lee wants to play regular first-team football and if we can help him to achieve that we will.
"He has remained thoroughly professional in everything he's done and has continued to work very hard in pre-season but I can't guarantee him a regular first-team place."
