Cox gives credit to team effort

Swindon striker Simon Cox admits his team-mates deserve some of the credit for his recent goalscoring exploits for the Robins.

Cox has scored 14 goals this season and collected his second hat-trick of the season against Scunthorpe last time out.

He was also named as the League One player of the month for October by the Professional Footballers' Association.

But the former Reading forward said the accolades and goals are reflective of the effort of all the Robins players not just his own contribution.

"I was brought here to score goals and I am happy to keep sticking them in the net," Cox told the club's website.

"My team-mates make the chances and I can't do it without them. They do all the hard graft and I just stick it in the net."
