Rigters: Set for runout with Shrimpers

The 25-year-old former Holland Under-21 frontman has made just seven appearances for Rovers since joining from NAC Breda in 2007 and spent time on loan with Barnsley and Norwich last season.

Shrimpers boss Steve Tilson has been in the market for a new striker all summer and with veteran Dougie Freedman currently sidelined by another injury, Rigters will be given the opportunity to show what he can do.

He first came to Blackburn's attention after winning the Golden Boot and the 2007 Under-21 European Championships but failed to make a first-team appearance last season.
