Along with fellow youth-team graduates Ryan Pryce and Josh McQuoid, Partington has been given a chance to make a name for himself as the Cherries bid to bounce back to League One at the first attempt following their relegation.

"I want to show people what I can do," Partington told the Bournemouth Daily Echo. "I can play and I'll work hard and give everything I've got. I've just got to do my best and see what happens."

The 18-year-old, who captains Wales at Under-19 level, admitted he owes a debt of gratitude to the club's head of youth Joe Roach.

"Joe Roach is a massive, massive influence. In everything I do, he's watching me and he has played a big part in the two years," Partington added. "If I was to thank anyone, it would mostly be Joe."
