Bradford boss Stuart McCall does not expect a quick decision from transfer target Luke Beckett, who has been told he can leave Huddersfield.
The striker, who has scored 12 goals this season for the Terriers, has been in talks with the Bantams over a summer move.
McCall told the Telegraph & Argus: "We've had a good chat and we've both got to go away and discuss things. Luke needs to talk with his agent and Huddersfield, and me with our joint-chairman.
"It's not as if we have to dive into this and rush anything through. We talked about a lot of things but I don't see anything being decided in the immediate future - it's an ongoing issue."
The former Oldham and Stockport striker has one year left on his current deal at the Galpharm Stadium, but has been told by manager Stan Ternent he is available for transfer.
