Andy Webster is looking forward to proving his injury problems are behind him after joining Bristol City on a six-month loan deal.
The defender has spent the last 18 months struggling with a knee injury and his last competitive appearance was in September 2007 when he scored in Rangers' 4-0 win against Gretna.
"I have trained throughout pre-season and I feel fine," Webster told City's official website. "I know there is a difference between matches and training but the sooner I get involved the better. Although, I know I have to earn the right to play.
"I am here to play football and I am in the same boat as everybody else. I will work hard in training and hopefully play as many games as possible.
"Hopefully the arrangement will work out for both parties. The manager has opted to bring me here and I want to repay that faith by playing well for the team."
