Nyatanga out to keep Robins spot

Bristol City defender Lewin Nyatanga knows he must maintain his level of performance if he is to keep his place in the team at Ashton Gate.

The Wales international has been a regular fixture in the Robins' starting line-up in recent weeks.

But Nyatanga, who joined City from Championship rivals Derby in the summer, knows there are other players waiting in the wings for a chance to replace him.

He said: "It's great to be in the team and I'm pleased with the way things are going at the moment.

"But we have some good defenders here, who all want to be playing regularly so you know that when you get a chance you have to take it."
