Darren Ferguson finally landed the defender on Friday after failing with two bids in the summer and he could start.

First-choice left-back Tom Williams remains sidelined with the ankle injury he picked up against Bristol City last weekend.

Midfielder Paul Coutts is still out with a foot injury while winger Sergio Torres is now back from his loan spell at Lincoln.

Utility man Charlie Lee made his return from an ankle injury as a substitute at Ashton Gate last weekend and after scoring twice for the reserves in midweek will hope to force his way into the starting XI.

Ferguson's men last won in the league over a month ago and remain in the relegation zone.
