Goalkeeper set for Posh debut

Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson will hand a debut to on-loan goalkeeper Ben Amos when Barnsley visit London Road on Saturday.

Amos, 19, has been drafted in on loan from Manchester United and will start as first-choice Joe Lewis serves a one-match suspension following his red card at Blackburn in midweek.

Defender Gabriel Zakuani missed that 5-2 defeat at Ewood Park with a hamstring injury but is expected to be fit while striker Craig Mackail-Smith will be handed a late fitness test.

Mackail-Smith scored his sixth goal of the season against Scunthorpe last weekend but was left out at Blackburn with a knock and Ferguson will make a late decision.

New signings Ryan Bennett and Scott Griffiths will hope to make their debuts after being cup-tied in midweek, while on-loan Tottenham midfielder Danny Rose also returns.

Charlie Lee went off with a bruised foot and is a doubt, left-back Tom Williams is out with an ankle injury but Paul Coutts is fit after his foot problem.
