Brian Laws has pinpointed Sheffield Wednesday's "steely resilience" as the main factor in their successful fight against relegation.
The Owls came from behind to beat Norwich 4-1 on the last day to secure their Championship status and Laws believes the 'bouncebackability' they showed against the Canaries was indicative of their fight against the drop.
He told the club's official website: "I think it's been quite evident that we had the worst record for conceding early goals but the best for recovering.
"That tells you that when we did concede, there was a steely resilience in the team, nobody panicked, and that was the story of the last third of the season and particularly during those last two games.
"We went behind to early goals in real high pressure games and the players could have been found wilting and falling away. The fact they didn't tells you everything about their mental strength, they showed they have 'bouncebackability' and for that they deserve great credit."

We'll get at least double that if we hold on to him for 2 more season. Personally I hope he continues to develop along the same lines ..." view full comment
