Wrexham boss Brian Little will hold showdown talks with Steve Evans next week over the defender's future at the Racecourse Ground.
Little is keen to keep the out-of-contract 29-year-old at the club, but the Wales international has yet to decide whether he will drop down to the Blue Square Premier.
"We have spoken to Steve and his representatives, and we are looking at making a decision in the short-term," said Little.
"We have agreed to meet again next week to see where we are at.
"If Steve wants to stay, then I hope we could come to an agreement. If not, then at least we all know where we stand."
