Bury boss Alan Knill has released eight out-of-contract players and offered new deals to a further six members of his squad.
Knill, who guided the club to safety following his appointment in February, has made wholesale changes.
David Buchanan, Brian Barry-Murphy, Nicky Adams, Dale Stephens, Cameron Belford and Glynn Hurst are all out of contract but have been offered new deals.
But Jim Provett, Colin Woodthorpe, Dave Challinor, Andy Parrish, Ben Leonard, Jordan Stepien, Andy Mangan and Aaron Grundy have all been shown the door.
Players under contract and to be retained for next season are Paul Scott, Ben Futcher, Paul Morgan, Steve Haslam, Andy Bishop, Richie Baker, Domaine Rouse, Jack Dorney and Ricky Anane.
Loan players Adam Rooney, Efe Sodje and Simon Yeo have returned to their parent clubs.
