Bradford summer signing Simon Ramsden wants to make it third time lucky in the play-offs next season, this time with Stuart McCall's side.

Right-back Ramsden has twice suffered play-off heartache in the last two seasons with former club Rochdale, who lost in the 2007/08 final to Stockport at Wembley and were beaten over two legs by Gillingham the semi-finals in May.

Ramsden told the club's official website: "The season just gone was worse than the time before because at least you'd had the achievement of going to Wembley.

"But to go close again and get beaten was a huge disappointment and I would have thought it affected the lads there all through the summer."

He added: "I've come here with the hopes and expectations of getting out of this division. That's what everybody is talking about and we really need to do it this season."

Meanwhile, Jon McLaughlin kept a clean sheet as Great Britian beat hosts Serbia 1-0 in the World Student Games in Belgrade. The City goalkeeper could miss the first two weeks of pre-season in the round-robin tournament.
