Andrade: Looking to resurrect his career

The 31-year-old, who has played in the Champions League with all three former clubs, is looking to resurrect his career after two injury-ravaged seasons.

Andrade was released by Juventus in April following chronic knee problems. He missed almost all of the 2007/08 campaign and did not play at all last season following a third operation.

"He is here. We will have to wait and see if anything can happen and give him a fair chance to show us what he can do," said Hans Backe, manager of the ambitious League Two club.

County have been able to attract high-profile personalities to the club since Munto Finance's takeover at Meadow Lane in the summer.

Sven-Goran Eriksson was appointed director of football while Sol Campbell also joined before leaving five weeks into the five-year deal he signed. County also held talks with Roberto Mancini about the managerial job before opting to appoint Backe last week.

"Wow.

Just Wow."

"Sven's earning his pay? Hardly. With the financial clout County have behind them it is hardly going to be difficult to attract names not usually associated with League 2. I suspect I could make a job of it given the chance!"

Ikaros (Manchester United fan)

"Remember him back in Porto and Deportivo.. Was one of the worlds best back then!! What a buy this could be if, and thats a big IF, he can get fit.

Cheers"

"Lets hope he honestly want to kick start his career again and not only looking for some good retirement bucks.... awsome if this deal went through. "

"If can get fit will be incredible signing - better defender than Campbell!"
