The 18-year-old recently completed a three-month stint with League Two rivals Northampton and has arrived at Whaddon Road for an initial month.

Schofield said: "With the forward line we've got we need to make sure we keep a consistent line of chances created with crosses into the box and he is going to give us that.

"He is a young, hungry lad who is trying to forge a career in football and it shows his desire that he is coming out from a Premier League club to play for us rather than sit in the reserves.

"He's coming in to raise the standard of the team."
