Allen pleased to pick up a point

Cheltenham boss Martin Allen was satisfied with the 2-2 draw with Stockport despite the fact his side were denied by a 90th-minute equaliser.

New loan signings Stuart Fleetwood and Josh Payne both scored on their debuts for the Robins either side of a Peter Thompson diving header, but Raynes' late header ensured the visitors took a share of the spoils.

However, Allen refused to be downhearted, and praised his side's determination.

He said: "The players showed great commitment and energy and we were a little bit unlucky to concede the goal, but they were on top for the last 15 or 20 minutes.

"But all you need to know is Stockport have not lost away from home for 13 games. They are a very difficult team to play against and have been together for three years. Our lot have been thrown together."
