Cheltenham winger Josh Low insists he will do all he can to force his way into Martin Allen's first-team plans at Whaddon Road.
The 29-year-old joined the Robins on a free transfer from Peterborough in the summer, but was put on the transfer list by Allen shortly after his arrival in place of Keith Downing.
Low admits he is unsure as to what the future holds for him, but says he has not given up on resurrecting his Cheltenham career.
He told the PFA's official website: "It's been tough and obviously I've got to be a bit careful what I say but at this moment in time I don't appear to fit in the new manager's plans. All I can do is keep my head down, work hard and try to change his mind.
"When there is a change at a club a new manager quite often has different ideas and wants to do things his own way. I don't know if he formed his opinions from what he has seen from me as a player in the past but it's up to me to show what I can do. Obviously it's out of my hands but I'll try to perform well in training.
"My head's all over the place a bit at the moment and it's a case of playing it by ear. We'll see what happens over the next few weeks and re-evaluate things then."
