The new Robins boss has instilled a fierce work ethic in his team - evident again as they overhauled a two goal deficit to pinch a 4-3 win with a Barry Hayles winner in stoppage time.

"At 3-1 down it was a bit flat but I still thought we could win it and credit goes to the players for lifting themselves," said Allen.

"The players deserve all the plaudits. I've asked them to step up their fitness levels and they've worked hard on the training pitch over a period of time - they are starting to get their rewards.

"I'm pleased for the supporters but it's just one win so we're not getting carried away."

 Cheltenham 4 - 3 Colchester
