White: Quakers can still improve

Darlington defender Alan White feels his side can do better despite coming from a goal down to beat Port Vale 2-1 at the weekend.

Dave Penney's side came from behind thanks to a late winner from on-loan striker Liam Hatch after Franz Burgmeier had cancelled out Luke Rodgers' opener.

But White insists there is more to come from this set of players and told The Northern Echo: "It was really important that we didn't let ourselves down, especially after going a goal behind.

"We didn't perform to our highest standards, but to come back from a goal down was really encouraging.

"We kept on telling ourselves that we were playing well, and we went on to win."
