Aberdeen have completed the free-transfer signing of Swindon defender Jerel Ifil, with the centre-back penning a two-year deal at Pittodrie.
Ifil featured on trial for the Dons in Dean Windass' benefit match at Hull on Sunday and impressed sufficiently enough to be offered a deal by the Scottish Premier League outfit.
Robins manager Danny Wilson admitted on Monday that the 27-year-old, who was Swindon's longest-serving player having joined the club on a permanent basis back in 2004, had travelled north for talks.
And after finally putting pen to paper on Wednesday, Ifil could be set to make his competitive debut in Saturday's SPL curtain-raiser against Celtic.
He told the Scottish club's official website: "I am delighted to sign for Aberdeen.
"When the opportunity to come here arose it was one I was immediately interested in persuing."
