Two Matthew Spring penalties helped Luton to a 4-1 victory over Northampton at Kenilworth Road on Monday night.
Darren Currie thumped the determined hosts ahead after four minutes with a superb strike into the top corner, but Bradley Johnson hammered the visitors into the break all-square with a left-foot strike from distance that gave Dean Brill no chance.
Spring netted from the spot on 49 minutes after Luton were awarded a penalty for hand ball.
And Currie's free-kick from the left was then touched home by Paul Furlong before Spring wrapped up the scoring against a brave Northampton side in the final minute with another penalty after Furlong was fouled by Mark Hughes.
