Gary Megson has denied suggestions that Bolton's fight against Premier League relegation is being undermined by unrest among his own players.
Midfielder Ivan Campo stormed down the tunnel and did not hide his anger towards Megson after being substituted during last weekend's goalless draw against Manchester City.
The show of petulance followed defender Abdoulaye Meite's refusal to play in the second half of Bolton's 2-0 defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
And with senior players having brought Senegal striker El-Hadji Diouf's commitment into question, Megson has been forced to fight one fire after another as the club's predicament has worsened.
Bolton lie in the relegation zone having taken one point from their last six outings ahead of the visit of Arsenal on Saturday.
However, Megson said: "There is no dissent - it's a terrific dressing room with a great squad of players.
"Something happened at Manchester United that I've never seen before and wouldn't want to see again.
"Abdoulaye Meite just said he didn't want to go out for the second half.
"I was surprised and disappointed but we've dealt with it as a club.
"The latest one was Ivan getting a bit stroppy when he was brought off, but he's done that a couple of times.
"What disappointed me more was that after the City game I wasn't talking about how well we had played but we ended up talking about Ivan and his walk up the tunnel.
"Once you start focusing on things that don't particularly matter then you've got a huge problem.
"You start looking for things that aren't there.
"There is a perception from outside the club as to what is going on in the inside - but it's just not there. The players are fine."
Meite has turned down a loan move to Championship promotion-chasers Ipswich but he would appear to have no future at the Reebok Stadium.

"I think we should bring back big Sam and bring in some new players like David Healy or Leroy Lita. Time Megson went!!"

"There's no excuses for not wanting to play the second half. We should sack him now."
