Arsenal's Premier League title hopes have suffered a blow with the news that Bacary Sagna faces at least three weeks with an ankle injury.
The France international scored the Gunners' goal in their 2-1 defeat at Chelsea on Sunday but then sustained the injury late on in the game.
Manager Arsene Wenger told Arsenal TV Online the loss of Sagna was "completely disruptive" and now it appears he will have to find cover at right-back until mid-April at best.
"He has an ankle injury and the first news that we have is that he could be out for quite a while," said Wenger.
"I don't know [exactly] how long he will be out but I feel it will be three weeks at least. Five is the [worst case scenario].
"I have seen the injury again on tape. He wanted to kick the ball out and he twisted his ankle. That made it a bad injury."

James20 (Manchester United) : "...I'm sorry but I just don't understand how people can put Mowbray and Pullis ahead of Johnson for football league manager if the year. Mowbray had the strongest squad in the league at his disposal, yet they hardly dominated the league did they? Pullis..." view full comment

Lewey005 (Arsenal) : "...Arsenal to announce the signing of Ben Arfa within days, followed by either Dunne/Kompany, yohann Pele, and an unamed CM. A striker may follow if Wenger can find the right man at the right price, if not he will rely on Vela, Bendther, RVP and Adebayo..." view full rumour

"The guy will be missed , I think people arent totally objective when it comes to Eboue .. anyone who would prefer to play Hoyte before him needs to be examined. I like Hoyte he seems a nice guy and is one o our few englishmen, unfortunately thats the only reason his still in the team. Sagna is easily the best RB in the league in my book .. if Torres hadnt blossomed in the end I'll have him as the best newcomer in the Pl now I'll say his the second best newcomer followed by Andersson."

"David Lockett and Israeli_Gunner08 (Arsenal fans), well I agree with you that he is definately the best RB you have and one of the best in the league no doubt. So it will always be a lose a player like that to injury, but I am still not convinced it will have a big effect on your game, I guess we will have to wait and see. I think your (David Lockett) point about using Hoyte instead of Eboue is interesting. I have to admit I can only recall seeing him play one time, and have the impression that he is stronger than Eboue defensively but that he doesn't have much too offer offensively. I could be wrong as I have only seen very little of him. Still the experience of Eboue should also count for something at this crucial stage of the season and I think that in most games you would benefit from his attacking qualities as RB. You will surely enjoy most of the posession in the majority of games, and as you have some points to catch up, I think you should think more about attacking than defending. And I don't think Eboue is THAT bad defensively."

"stop moaning wenger. united have been without our right back and captain for the whole season. injuries happen and, considering arsenals unused transfer kitty, if arsenal haven't got cover then there is only one man to blame. shame you guys allowed diarra to leave. he would have fit in perfectly."
