The 21-year-old, just voted Young Player of the Year in France, has been strongly linked with a summer move to the Gunners, with Marseille also known to be keen.

Ben Arfa, rathed at £12million by his club, has now revealed that talks about a move to Arsenal have taken place.

"It is true that we have spoken about Arsenal, but we will see how it is going to happen," he told L'Equipe.

"If I stay at Lyon, it is to play. Wherever I go, it will be to play.

"The season is not over yet, two games are remaining (one in Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France final).

"Today I am at Lyon. We will see what tomorrow is made of. I try to give my maximum and to give everything when I am on the pitch."

Despite his undoubted ability, Lyon coach Alain Perrin still does not always use Ben Arfa from the start, something which is a concern to the young midfielder.

"It is frustrating when I am on the bench but it is part of the job."

""Please come and shine like Sagna." I know he can make it. He has the talent but he should avoid contact with the defenders of the premier league."

"replacement for Hleb?"

arseven (Arsenal fan)

"May be the age limit for transfers of talent ought to also include some over 21 year olds! How old was Henry when he arrived at Arsenal? The other aspect of Arsenal's needs in midfield is "solidity" - to withstand cahllenges and keep the ball! We jhave Rosicky and Diaby who neither have solidity nor strength to counter challenge!"
