Paris Saint Germain star Amara Diane has admitted he would jump at the chance to join Kevin Keegan at Newcastle United.
The Ivory Coast star has been linked with a move to Tyneside after Keegan checked on him personally earlier this month.
The 25-year-old has now admitted that he would love to make the move to England.
"Kevin Keegan is a dream coach, his team always plays offensive football and playing in England would be a great opportunity," he told Skysports.
"I know there is some contact between the two clubs and if an agreement is reached, I will go to Newcastle.
"To play with Michael Owen would be great and there is also Obafemi Martins who is a top striker.
"The Premier League is attractive and some of my Ivorian friends are there so I would be in good company."
Newcastle are seemingly taking a keen interest in the French market with St Etienne's Bafetimbi Gomis also thought to high on Keegan's list of targets.
Keegan is understood to have been in France last weekend to check on potential new signings and he attended the PSG-St Etienne clash with both Diane and Gomis playing - but neither scored.

"23 goals in 104 appearances in french league football. Not great is it, i've not seen him play but apparently he is very quick. Why do we need another quick striker? we have Martins. If King Kev is to stick with our current formation of Owen,Martins and a link up striker then Diane does not sound like he is up to the job. Dean Ashton is a much better option, despite being injured and a little overweight for a lot of the season he still got into double figures. And if they include this 6 English players then Dean Ashton is a must."

"i saw him on youtube and this is a dynamite exactly like rapid fire martins ! Excellent buy if you ask me. Of course it`s youtube that im looking at and the compilation of his best at PSG but nontheless he would fit perfectly into the set up as he brings the ball from midfield compared to Gomis who is more of a finisher in the box. I would prefer an all round hardworking player. "
