Paul Robinson believes manager Tony Mowbray will bring the good times to West Brom after signing a new two-year contract with the Baggies.
Robinson has put pen to paper on a new deal until the end of the 2009-2010 campaign, while there is an option of additional 12 months in the club's favour.
The 29-year-old, who in the final year of his current contract, has already spent five years at Albion since moving from Watford in a £250,000 deal.
He has been promoted twice with West Brom - in 2004 and at the end of last season under Mowbray.
Now the full-back has confidence in Mowbray to help establish Albion in the top flight despite suffering defeats in the opening two games with Arsenal and Everton.
Robinson said: "It is great to get the contract done and dusted. It takes time. things have to get sorted out. The manager and the chairman (Jeremy Peace) wanted to get new players in first and I fully understand that.
"I am delighted it is all sorted and I can get my head down and concentrate on my football again.
"People always get concerned about being in the last year of their contract, what is going to happen and are you in the manager's plans. For me, that was never a problem.
"For me it was just a case of getting my head down and working hard like I always do. I am fully committed to the club and, no matter what happened, I would have given my all for the year.
"But the club have been good to me and offered me this new deal and I am delighted to sign it and am fully committed. That is the type of person I am."
Robinson added: "I am a great believer and I believe in the manager and what he wants to do with the club and I have faith in what he can do for this club.
"If you talk to him, you would understand why. He is a great football man, has a knowledge of the game."
Robinson is aware Albion have to be more ruthless in front of goal than in their opening two matches.
He said: "We showed last year what a quality team we are. To finish top of the league was a great achievement for us. We wanted to do it coming into this league and to show teams we can play football.
"Unfortunately, the first two games we played our football but we didn't put the ball in the back of the net. You can't afford to do that in this league because you will get punished."
