Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has laughed off reports linking him with a 70million euro transfer to Manchester City.
City's new Abu Dhabi-based owners, the United Group for Development and Investment, broke the British transfer record to sign Robinho and the chances are more big names will follow when the transfer window opens again in January.
But the Italy number one, who is currently preparing for Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Cyprus, claims he will not be one of them.
"It's a journalist's fantasy," said Buffon.
"If an offer like that one arrived, I believe Juve would look at the numbers. But I doubt it would ever arrive."
Juve paid Parma £31million for Buffon in 2001 and the 30-year-old is under contract at the Stadio Olimpico until 2013.

"Yes shakey, Stadio Olimpico, its their temporary home whilst the new stadium construction/renovations take place to Dela Alpi.
They've sold out and SportFive own the naming and sponsorship rights to the stadium for the next 15 years i think :-s Would be gutted if they renamed the San Siro or something of that nature, dunno why the club wouldnt rather have its own stadium name"

"Stadio Olimpico? You mean Stadio Dela Alpi!
He plays for Juventus, not Lazio or Rome."

"Jabiter - just look at Chelsea, money will only get you so far? What, 2 Premiership titles,3 runner's up spots, 1 FA Cup, 2 League Cups, 1 further League Cup final, 1 Champions League Final and 3 semi-finals, all in 5 years? I'd say Chelsea's money has got them pretty damn far.... "

"I'm sure this is going to happen with a lot of players Manchester City try and go for. Money isn't everything despite what Manchester City's arrogant owner thinks. At least Abramovic has never been so in people's faces. I've taken an instant dislike to Suleiman al-Fahim. He can't understand that players want to enjoy their careers playing for a club that they genuinely want to play for , such as Kaka with Milan, rather then just move somewhere because they offer more money!"

"Since when did buying a bunch of expensive players make a good team? - you only have to look at Chelsea to see that cash will only take you so far, and that a good manager is what will take you the rest of the way. Besides a team is about balance and that comes from knowledge and experience. Obviously Mr cash bags thinks if he can do it on PS3 then surely you can do it at a club... "

"This is going to be a regular story - top players dismissing links and moves to City. City have to build up their reputation as a top team before other top players will join. Robinho wanted out of Real, that is clear. The new owners "wish list" to excite fans may well turn out to be a chalice round their necks"

"Feel sorry for alot of the top youngsters coming through at Citeh. Hart, Johnson, Onuoha, Sturridge, Evans aren't gonna get a look in once the superstars start arriving. Could be a few bargains there in the Jan window...."
