Halmosi joined the newly-promoted Tigers in the summer from Plymouth Argyle for a fee in the region of £2million.

The Hungarian has made three top-flight appearances to date, with Hull currently seventh in the table after five games of the season.

Phil Brown's side travel to Arsenal at the weekend and Halmosi has said that he is overjoyed to be playing in the Premier League.

"Not only the Hull fans, but we [the players] have the football fever too. As soon as a game is over we're counting the days for the next one," he told Nemzeti Sport.

"I knew that my time would come and I didn't have to wait too long for it. Since I've been here I feel that Phil Brown trusts me.

"I'm very happy because I also feel this respect from my team-mates too. As a result I didn't have any problem with adapting. All I needed was to get a chance in the line-up.

"I loved the Premier League at first sight. I got what I wanted or maybe even more. Here I play against the best players of the world."
