The Football Association will not be taking any action against Luiz Felipe Scolari over the Chelsea manager's comments about referee Mike Dean.
Scolari called for the official to apologise after claiming he made mistakes during Sunday's 2-1 Premier League defeat by Arsenal.
Dean allowed a Robin van Persie equaliser to stand despite suspicions of offside.
The FA believe Scolari qualified his remarks and that he had not questioned the integrity of the referee.
A spokesman said: "We have studied the remarks of Luiz Felipe Scolari and will not be taking any further action."
Scolari's anger was exacerbated by the fact Salomon Kalou was flagged offside when in a similar position earlier in the game, a decision he felt was less clear-cut.
The Brazilian initially appeared to hint that he felt Dean's "mistakes" could have been made deliberately before categorically stating that was not the case.
When asked if he thought the mistakes were intentional, he said: "Maybe, I don't know. Because he is a man, maybe it is a mistake but two times the same mistake?"
But he added: "Two honest mistakes? I think so. Not deliberate. I don't think they came here deliberately to make mistakes to us.
"I don't want the referee to make something different, but only for him to look at the television and see it was wrong, and the linesman.
"They are not God. They made a mistake and I understand. I don't want three points, I just want 'sorry'."

"well done purist!! we lost 2 a pathetic team!! i can handle the fact we lost 2 a deflected goal against liverpool.. but arsenal.. EMBARRASSING!! all bcos of a stupid official.. the amount of times that same official flagged us offside in the first half. and the referee was the fool that said bosingwa kept van persie onside!"

"If no one else has noticed, Scolari didn't say much of referees before since he believed the refs are always right, they're gods on the pitch etc. Now he is settling in the EPL, he's probably just realised how rubbish our refs are, he probably will no on defend managers who complain. There is obviously a lack of quality refereeing within the UK, it's quite obvious by the number of UK Refs in the Champs League. Scolari mate, you might as well get use to it since the Ref here are like the Judge, Jury and the Executioner! FA really need to do something about this"

"Why would the referee say sorry? An offside decision is down to the linesman, not the referee."

"well said scolari,he just wanted to show the ref what really happened and he is right they are humans and we do make many errors.they should just asy sorry and get it over with cuz those things happen all the time.his reaction was much better than many other managers who would go for the refs head.he just set a gret example to all of them.well done big phil."
