Ferguson left stunned by Evra ban
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed his shock at Patrice Evra's four-game ban, saying he does not know what the FA are doing.

Evra was also fined £10,000 after the FA found him guilty of improper conduct for his part in the post-match fracas at Stamford Bridge last season.
It means Evra is now due to miss all domestic duty until Chelsea's visit to Old Trafford on January 11.
United chief executive David Gill is still waiting for written confirmation of the ban and the reasons behind it before deciding whether to appeal.
However, despite a long list of battles with Soho Square chiefs, Ferguson feels their latest punishment is the most staggering yet.
"It was a shock," said the Scot. "Of all the things the FA have done to us down the years that was one of their biggest. I could not believe it.
"You could never tell what these people are doing. Even if I was sitting having breakfast with them I would not know what they were thinking.
"But we are still waiting for the written reasons to be delivered to David Gill so we cannot really comment on what our next step will be."

Firstly I gotta love that name (weallluvwayne) the irony of an icon of Manchester, loved by the Manc fans being a scouser - beautiful! hahahaha. Secondly, I have not suggested we are going to win the league, I have not said Robbie Keane is world class, I do not profess to play the most exciting football, in fact your retalitary comments are completely off point and utterly irrelevant to the point I made. But hey, that's normal for a United fan, you have no basis for most of your arguements so you normally manage to come up with some garbage about LFC fans being whingers and historians and how the history of the English league doesn't matter, well seemingly not in Manchester. Facts are exactly what they are, facts. Man utd have had many escapes from FA punishment that other teams have been punished for, but for the part this is the FA's fault, not United's. But for Slur Alex to come out and whine about your unfair treatment is laughable and THAT was my comment and annoyance. But back to debate that you United fans want... LFC are factually the most successful club in history of English football history, both domestically and in Europe - please please please argue that to me hahaha fools. But Liverpool fans only see what they want to see on here, Gerard doesn't dive, Rooney is overated, Lampard shouldn't play for England, Torres should have won the Ballon d'Or, Liverpool are the champions elect, Robbie Keane is world class, you know the rest!! On a side note I believe it was Mellor who got sent off in pre season but wasn't suspended for the league, where as Rooney missed the next pre season tour game and then three league games, but hey, the FA love us remember!"

"tjhughes100, Liverpool fan Posted Today @ 17:06- Rio drugs ban of 9 months whilst players who have taken drugs have had a less ban mutu for example, scholes and rooney being suspended for 3 matches after being sent off in a pre season friendly whilst Gerrard and another Liverpool player get away with nothing after being sent off in pre season friendlies.
