Gera sets top-10 target for Fulham

Zoltan Gera feels he "made the right decision" in quitting West Brom for Fulham - and has set his sights on a top-10 finish this season.

The Cottagers, who narrowly escaped relegation last term, are currently ninth in the table following an impressive beginning to the campaign.

Gera joined the London side from Albion, who are currently propping up the Premier League, in the summer and has been encouraged by their performances under manager Roy Hodgson.

He told skysports: "I'm not worried about anything because Fulham are doing well and our secret dream is to finish in the top 10 and avoid the relegation zone by a distance.

"Our defensive play is very good; we have conceded the fourth least goals in the league. I think I made the right decision when I signed my contract at Fulham."

The Hungary international also revealed that Hodgson plans to utilise him on the right-hand side of midfield in future games.

Gera added: "So far I have played as a left-sided midfielder which is not really my cup of tea. Hodgson and I agreed that from now I should play on the right side.

"I'm very happy about it because I feel much more comfortable over there."
