Veteran Hull striker Dean Windass has conceded his days with the Premier League club are numbered after being told he can leave on loan.
The 39-year-old, who netted the winner in the Championship play-off final against Bristol City at Wembley last May, has started just one top-flight game this season and has made just six league and cup appearances.
Windass has been left out of the Hull squad for the last two games after being substituted at half-time during Hull's 5-1 thrashing at Manchester City on Boxing Day.
He had hoped to feature in last Saturday's FA Cup third-round clash against Newcastle. Manager Phil Brown made seven changes but Windass did not make the bench.
Grimsby, Hartlepool and Leeds have been linked with his signature and Windass wrote in his itv blog: "It's not true I've been released but assistant manager Brian Horton called me and told me the club were accepting offers to take me on loan. That tells you all you need to know about my future here.
"So far one club, Hartlepool, has come in for me and I'm waiting to see how things develop. I'm going to talk over the move with my family over the next couple of days and take it from there."
