"Essien definitely worth 40 million."

"Talk about asking for abuse here.. Lucas at £14million is about right, he has been at liverpool a while now and up until this season not been massively impressive, this season however he has shown alot of improvements not lease in the win over united, he is still a very very young lad and now with alot of experience in the premier league, champions league and even for playing brazil, plenty of game experience, experience playing with and against the top players, and experience of pressure of playing at liverpool.
this player is ready to go on now and make a proper name for himself, he'll be in the brazil squad for a long time, he'll play his domestic at the very top level and if he ever leaves liverpool it will most likely be for more than £14million. "

"14 million for Lucas... haha... Rafa can value you him at whatever he wants... NO ONE wants Lucas anyway... so no one will try to meet the valuation."

"14 million? But tbf, coming from the man that thinks Glen Johnson is worth 23 million.."

"distinct lack of football knowledge from all you washed up brain dead forum busting egiots, lucas was captain of the brazilian under 21 team, has showed a clear improvement in performances, has the ability to keep the ball close to feet and hold it up bringing other players into a game and is learning very fast, i dont know why you all sit here moaning about him, very sad form of bullying if you ask me, and maybe not 14 million but i could see at least 10 million in the current climate and hope he stays and continues progressing"

""THE GUARDIAN: FIFA is preparing to abandon all rules relating to player agents, in a move that could turn the global transfer market into a free for all." Seriously, do FIFA actually have the slightest clue what they're doing?

"Amazing how many people believe all they read.
Has Benetiz come out and said this? If he does it will be because he does not want to lose him. Lucas obviously isn't worth 14 million but the so called liverpool fans on here who say he is useless are a disgrace.
It seems unless a player proves himself immediately he is written off. Some players take longer than others to adapt to the English game and I for one have seen a marked improvement in Lucas this season.
Benetiz wants to keep him, probably as a backup midfielder with Aqualani now getting his fitness. back.
Get behind your players. To many fans these days view the game as Championship manager. Its not."
