He is struggling with both a hamstring and calf strain.

Kris Boyd is also a slight doubt with a calf injury, but has a better chance of being fit for the must-win tie.

Boss Walter Smith has yet to decide whether to include Madjid Bougherra in his starting line-up, following the defender's late return from international duty with Algeria.

DaMarcus Beasley is also back in contention after recovering from a hamstring injury, but Jerome Rothen is out with sinus trouble and earache.

Rangers (from): McGregor, Whittaker, Papac, Weir, Wilson, Davis, Thomson, McCulloch, Naismith, Novo, Miller, Fleck, Boyd, Lafferty, Smith, Beasley, Bougherra, Alexander.
