The German outfit fully deserved their win and went ahead on 16 minutes when Aleksandr Hleb played a one-two with Cacau before squaring across the six-yard box to Pavel Pogrebnyak, who missed the ball before Sebastian Rudy slide in for his first goal for Stuttgart.

Two minutes later Stuttgart had the ball in the net again but the goal was ruled out. Zdravko Kuzmenovic's whipped free-kick from the left cannoned in off the post but Matthieu Delpierre was offside.

Kris Boyd hit a left-foot shot just wide of the post for Rangers as they tried to get back into the game.

And the Gers wasted a glorious chance when Kenny Miller delivered a delightful cross from the right to Boyd but he headed over the bar from 10 yards out.

Stuttgart continued to dominate in the second half and added a second on 59 minutes.

Kenny Miller was almost put through by Steven Davis for Gers before Stuttgart broke quickly and Rudy's cross from the right was headed in by the unmarked Kuzmenovic.

Two minutes later McGregor made a double save as he denied Kuzmanovic and then the follow-up from Pogrebnyak.

On 78 minutes Hleb got the better of Danny Wilson, cut the ball back to Pogrebnyak, who hit the outside of the post with his effort.

Late on sub Thomas Hitzlsperger fired a shot straight at McGregor and the Gers stopper then saved another powerful shot, this time from Timo Gebhart.

Says the the man who's team have done nothing of note on the european front and for the first time have a change of even getting in the top 4.

If you recall we aready beat your mob 2-0 with our reserve team.

English premiership having 4 teams in the 'CHAMPIONS' League is enough thank you very much.

When have beaten: AC Milan, Juventus, Lyon, Barcelona, Valencia, FC Porto, Villarreal or even Manchester Utd then come back and I might take you seriously...

Celtic and Rangers have both been in European finals in the past 10 years, where were spurs?

a fluke 9-1 against an average Wigan doesn't earn you any respect or an automatic place in the champions league. Europa League is all spurs can ever hope for with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester Utd, Liverpool and Aston Villa in the league.

MWHAHAHA!"

"How far did spurs get last year?"

"And these clowns think they should be in the EPL - send them to Hackney Marshes first!"

"Rangers and Celtic in Europe are complete wastes of British Champions League places... hand over the places to to other clubs in the EPL as we'd give a better account of ourselves that the pathetic football played by the SPL's old firm in Europe..."
