Coppa Italia holders Roma drew 1-1 with Catania on Thursday to seal a 2-1 aggregate semi-final success and set up a final against Inter Milan.
Roma had a slender 1-0 lead from the first leg thanks to Francesco Totti's wonderful goal and they maintained their advantage to set up a fascinating final against Serie A table-toppers Inter.
Alberto Aquilani put Roma 1-0 ahead on the night as he fired home a penalty in the 27th minute.
Cristian Silvestri levelled just two minutes later with a header but Catania, facing a relegation battle in the league, could not overturn their aggregate deficit.
Inter booked their place in the final with a 2-0 win against Lazio on Wednesday night, following a goalless draw in the first leg.
