PSV eyeing defender Rodriguez

PSV Eindhoven are in talks with Mexican outfit Chivas Guadalajara over the signing of defender Francisco Rodriguez.

Scouts from the Dutch champions, along with managing director Jan Reker, travelled to Mexico to see the 26-year-old in action last week and club chiefs are now in negotiations over a deal.

"We must first get a deal with the club, after that we will start the negotiations with the player," Reker told Eindhovens Dagblad. "That is the correct order."

Rodriguez is in his sixth season with the Guadalajara side and has played more than 140 games for the first team.
